LAMBRINI GIRLS BIG DICK ENERGY
Feral punk duo Lambrini Girls have been on a literal wild ride this year, winning round and calling out audiences all over globe. Today, they unleash a new and improved version of setlist highlight 'Big Dick Energy' alongside the announcement of their highly-anticipated debut album Who Let the Dogs Out. Recorded with Gilla Band's Daniel Fox, 'Big Dick Energy' is a visceral beast. Hurtling along with pent-up frustration, overblown bass sounds lock in with rapid drums as vocalist Pheoboe Lunny's inimitable snarl spits a series of unflinching home truths. She explains: “Man comes in many forms, from world leaders to tech CEOs and humble softboys. But what unites them? Society has celebrated their supposed massive figurative and literal dicks, which they constantly flaunt. Why? Toxic masculinity. Fuelling their sense of entitlement and insecurities leads to harmful behaviours. Which when left unchecked, means we have to deal with the fallout. The definition of ‘Big Dick Energy’ is a confidence that doesn’t need proving. Which begs the question, how big is that dick in reality? If you haven’t figured this out by now, it’s not that big.” Who Let the Dogs Out will arrive on the 10th of January via City Slang shortly followed by an EU headline tour and their biggest UK shows to date. -Holly Mullineaux
